Ancient Farm Will Start Cultivating on PC Next Week

A Peaceful Life Awaits in an Ancient Farm

Ancient Farm is set to launch on PC on January 8, offering a peaceful farming simulator set in ancient Egypt during the age of the pharaohs. Designed as a calm single-player experience, the game places players in a first-person perspective and invites them to build a life around farming, animal care, and resource management. Console versions for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 will arrive sometime in 2026.

A2 Softworks, an independent studio based in Poland, developed the game. Ultimate Games S.A. is responsible for publishing both the PC and console editions.

In Ancient Farm, players begin with a small piece of land and gradually expand their farm through steady work and smart decisions. The setting draws heavily from ancient Egyptian life. Instead of modern machinery, players rely on simple tools inspired by the period. Every task requires time and effort, creating a slower and more thoughtful pace.

Farming and animal care form the core of the experience, but the game extends beyond those systems. Players can forage for resources, construct buildings, craft useful items, and prepare food. Seasonal changes and shifting market prices introduce light economic planning, encouraging players to manage resources carefully and reinvest profits to grow their operations.

A wide selection of crops and animals allows for flexible playstyles. Crops include wheat, flax, cotton, hemp, papyrus sedge, sugar cane, grapes, olive trees, and more. Animals range from chickens and cows to sheep and oxen. Combined with a variety of ancient tools, these systems work together to create a relaxed yet engaging simulation rooted in history.
