Your Submarine Awaits in UBOAT
The acclaimed submarine simulator UBOAT is preparing to dive onto consoles. The game is arriving on Xbox Series X|S on August 27, 2025, followed by a PlayStation 5 release on September 17, 2025. Developed by Polish studio Deep Water Studio and published by Ultimate Games S.A., the title expands its reach after a strong showing on PC, where it exited Early Access in August 2024. It has already sold close to one million copies. On Steam, it holds an 84 percent positive rating from over 22,500 reviews.

Often described as a spiritual successor to the Silent Hunter series, UBOAT offers an open-world WWII submarine experience. The game perfectly blends simulation, strategy, and survival. Players step into the role of a German U-boat captain tasked with completing missions inspired by historical events.
Beyond naval combat, the game introduces a layer of crew management reminiscent of Fallout Shelter. Captains must oversee every aspect of submarine life, ensuring their sailors remain healthy and morale stays high while navigating tense patrols. From plotting ambushes and laying mines to upgrading equipment after successful missions, every choice carries weight.
Players love UBOAT for its commitment to realism. It features historically accurate torpedo calculators, a curvature of the Earth’s horizon, detailed ballast systems, and a complex damage model. All of these push players to adapt under pressure. On consoles, the game runs at 1080p, targeting 60 FPS on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5, while maintaining 30 FPS on Xbox Series S.
With its blend of tactical depth, survival mechanics, and historical immersion, UBOAT is set to deliver a challenging and authentic submarine experience when it surfaces on consoles later this year.
