Enter a Forbidden National Park in Huntin’ Buddies
Indie horror fans have a new reason to gather their friends as Huntin’ Buddies has officially arrived on Steam. The comedy horror co-op game drops players into a forbidden national park where hunting contracts quickly turn into a fight for survival.
At first glance, the premise seems straightforward. Players take on the role of hunters, accept nightly contracts, track down animals, haul their catches back to the truck, and earn money for their efforts. However, things in the park are far from normal.
Hunters will soon encounter disturbing sights, including deer with both eyes on the same side of their heads and goats that apparently speak Latin. As the nights progress, the strange events only become more unsettling, with reports suggesting that something in the wilderness is actively hunting the hunters.
Huntin’ Buddies supports solo play as well as online co-op for up to four players. Players can explore three distinct hunting areas: Pine Valley, Granger Farms, and Blackmire Swamp, and across 15 increasingly dangerous nights. Teamwork becomes essential as players attempt to complete contracts, survive the growing threats, and make it back to the truck alive.
Adding to the chaos, carcasses can even explode if stretched too far while being transported, creating plenty of unpredictable and often hilarious moments for hunting parties.
The game is available now for $7.99 and currently features a 20% launch discount for its first two weeks. Players who want to try before buying can also check out the free Steam demo.
