Check Out the Latest Trailer of the Lift
Indie publisher tinyBuild and debut studio Fantastic Signals have officially revealed that The Lift is headed to PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S in 2027. The announcement arrived during the Triple-I Initiative Showcase, alongside a brand-new trailer that offers a closer look at the game’s unusual premise. Since its initial reveal, The Lift has already attracted strong interest. The game got over 300,000 wishlists on Steam following a well-received public playtest in late 2025.
Positioned as a first-person, narrative-driven experience, The Lift blends supernatural storytelling with a unique handyman simulator concept. Players step into the role of a Keeper, tasked with restoring the Institute. It was once an advanced research facility, now left in ruins and consumed by a mysterious cosmic decay. As repairs begin, so does the uncovering of secrets hidden deep within the structure.
Originally announced for PC in September 2025, the game’s newly confirmed console versions will launch alongside the PC release in 2027. The setting draws heavy inspiration from Soviet-era science fiction. It creates a surreal and atmospheric world filled with strange systems and unpredictable phenomena.
Gameplay revolves around a mix of unconventional tasks, from cleaning up reality-bending anomalies and harvesting fuel from robotic bees to repairing sentient machinery and reactivating interdimensional technology. This blend of grounded repair work and bizarre sci-fi elements helps The Lift stand out within the simulation genre.
With more updates expected through developer posts and future playtests, The Lift is already shaping up to be one of the more distinctive indie titles on the horizon. If you want to learn more about the game, then check out our official preview right here!
