Time to Dig Further in Drill Core
Drill Core, the roguelite mining strategy simulator from Hungry Couch and publisher tinyBuild, is celebrating its anniversary with a new update, now available for free on PC via Steam. The update was revealed during Today’s tinyBuild Connect and adds several new features and quality-of-life improvements for players.

In Drill Core, players take on the role of a Platform Manager for Drill Core Inc., overseeing miners, guards, and carriers as they venture into dangerous underground environments. During the day, players focus on extracting valuable resources, while nighttime brings tower-defense action as they deploy turrets and defend their operation.
The Anniversary Update introduces new challenges with additional rewards, along with extra bounties and a new Platform Building that allows players to take on sponsored company tasks. Players looking for a more relaxed experience can also try the newly added Relaxed Mode, which reduces the overall intensity of mining operations.
The update also adds three new platform skins, the ability to hire specialists during contracts, improved tutorials, additional game-speed options, expanded statistics, and several other quality-of-life improvements.
“Drill Core Inc’s upper management celebrates this anniversary with new features for experienced miners to tackle and lead our shareholders to record profits!”, said Konstantin Burov, Head of Hungry Couch Games. “The update provides fellow Platform Managers more ways to drill deeper with additions we’ve carefully crafted to flex that managerial muscle.”
The Anniversary Update is available now on PC via Steam, while Drill Core is also available on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X|S. With plenty of new tools and challenges, there’s never been a better time to get back underground.
