We have seen the addition of horses in the last expansion pack of The Sims 4. Now, the game is about to head towards a completely new direction with its new content that is arriving on 7 December. Yes, that’s right, the upcoming For Rent expansion pack will allow players to become property tycoons.
The expansion pack will introduce a brand-new South Asian culture-inspired neighborhood called Tomarang to The Sims 4. This new expansion pack shares a lot of similarities with the previous apartment-based City Living pack. However, there is one major difference. In For Rent, you can build multi-dwelling buildings in any buildable world without the restriction of the game’s pre-set apartment floorplans.
There will be many community-based events as well, such as building-wide Potlucks and Pool Parties, Night Market, and more. Players can also expect a variety of new items, clothing, and even Southeast Asian-inspired food and drinks.
The game will also allow entrepreneurial Sims to become Property Owners. They will earn income by renting out their units to other Sims. They can even choose to live on the same property or live off-site. The owners will still need to keep close inspections on the property for vital repairs to prevent the tenants from revolting.
For Rent will come with four new Aspirations for Sims to pick from. This includes Seeker of Secrets for nosy neighbors, Five-Star Property Owner for diligent landlords, the local Fount of Tomarani Knowledge for local know-it-alls, or a Discerning Dweller for perfect tenants. These Aspirations will come with five new traits – Nosy, Generous, Cringe, Child of the Village, and Wise, which will only be available to Elder Sims.
Additionally, anyone can purchase the pack before January 18 to get the Street Eats Digital Content pack. This pack will include street food-related objects as placeable furniture.
