Twisted Minds Crowned PUBG Champions

New PUBG Champions

KRAFTON, Inc. has crowned Twisted Minds as the champions of the PUBG EMEA Championship: Fall. On October 22, the skilled squad, consisting of Aleksandr “BatulinS” Batulin, Kirill “Lu” Lukyanov, Dmytrii “Perfect1ks” Dubenyuk, and Yaroslav “spyrro” Kuvichko, emerged victorious in a fierce competition, outshining 15 other teams over three intense days of action. Their triumph earned them the lion’s share of the $100,000 prize pool, walking away with an impressive $25,000. It’s worth noting that Twisted Minds had already secured a spot in the upcoming PUBG Global Championship 2023 (PGC 2023) due to their remarkable performance in the PUBG Global Series (PGS).

In addition to Twisted Minds, six other formidable EMEA teams – FUT Esports, FaZe Clan, Acend Club, HOWL, Question Mark, and Exalt – have also secured their positions to compete for the coveted title of PGC 2023 champions.

The PUBG EMEA Championship: Fall Grand Finals unfolded through 18 grueling matches played across three days. Right from the start, Twisted Minds and FaZe asserted their dominance and maintained their lead throughout the entire weekend. By the conclusion of the second day, it was evident that these two powerhouses were untouchable, setting the stage for a fierce battle in the tightly contested midpack. This championship served as the last opportunity for EMEA teams to accumulate vital PGC points, making even the slightest shift in the final leaderboard standings of paramount importance. It could determine whether they would advance to Bangkok to fight another day or be relegated to the sidelines.

In a commendable display of skill and determination, FUT Esports surged from 8th place to 3rd on the final day, successfully displacing Question Mark from their position. Both teams secured their spots comfortably, as did Acend. The fates of HOWL and Exalt were less clear and hung in the balance until the very last moments. Despite finishing 14th and 16th on the leaderboard, these teams earned their spots in PGC due to the PGC points they had accrued earlier this year, combined with the underperformance of some of their rivals in the tournament’s concluding matches.

The PUBG Global Championship 2023 is scheduled to take place from November 18 to December 3. Over 128 players from 32 elite global teams will battle relentlessly, each with their eyes set on the prestigious championship title. The tournament will have the added excitement of a live audience and will be hosted at the Bangkok Convention Centre (BCC Hall) in Thailand. More information regarding ticket availability and on-site community events will be revealed soon.
