Prepare for a strict prison life, everyone! Publisher Spiral Up Games just announced the Early Access release date of their upcoming title Back To The Dawn. It will be available on PC via Steam starting from 3rd November. The game also got an excellent showcase this month during the Steam Next Fest’s top demos.
Back to the Dawn is an adventure RPG developed by Metal Head Games. It takes place in maximum-security Boulderton Prison. You play a reporter caught up in a dark conspiracy and has been wrongfully imprisoned. You must gather your wits and learn how to survive in this hostile environment. Make friends or foes with your fellow inmates, and exploit any weakness you find in order to break out and expose the truth behind the conspiracy that put you there.
The game has a non-linear storyline where your choices will have a significant impact on the story. You can choose to be a model prisoner, a cunning lone wolf, or even a ruthless gang leader. There is no right or wrong way to play the game, it’s all up to you to decide how you want to achieve your goals.
It also features a diverse cast of characters, each with their own unique story and personality. You can choose to befriend or betray them, and your actions will have consequences. There are a variety of puzzles and challenges to solve, as well as a robust crafting system that you can use to create makeshift weapons and tools.
With numerous distinctive prison sites awaiting your discovery, brimming with hidden secrets, and featuring over 40 intriguing inmates for you to either befriend or challenge, this game ensures a minimum of 20 hours of captivating prison adventure.
