Aground Zero Launching on Early Access This Week

Aground Zero Is Coming Out Soon

Fancy Fish Games has announced that their voxel colony sim and base-building RPG Aground Zero will enter Steam Early Access on 18 January 2024. The exciting part is that it will include local split-screen multiplayer. The developers are also planning to organize a launch stream where players can watch them hit the launch button.

Aground Zero

The Early Access phase will allow players to get a first-hand experience of being stranded underground. They will be able to build their underground base, rescue other survivors, build vehicles, and ascend on the surface as well. There are many plans for Early Access updates such as adding the first spaceship, new areas, and a moon base.

Aground Zero is a 3D spinoff of Fancy Fish Games’s successful 2020 pixel-art mining and crafting RPG Aground. The story takes place during the same time as the original game, though it follows an independent narrative. The game features a fantastic original soundtrack composed by Chase Bethea which you can pre-order right here.

The world has come to an end. And you find yourself in the depths below the surface, solitary except for a friendly artificial intelligence companion. Your survival depends on mining and construction efforts, and your quest involves seeking fellow survivors to join forces for mutual support.

Moreover, a free demo version of the game is also available on Steam for everyone to try out. To build up the hype, take a look at the official launch trailer right below.
