Astral Ascent Leaving Early Access In November

Astral Zodiac Roguelite

Welcome to prison. It isn’t normal, in fact, it’s far from any prison that you could ever expect. This prison is a garden, and it is guarded by Zodiac wardens. Indie studio Hibernian Workshop is excited to announce that it is bringing its challenging action roguelite, Astral Ascent, out of Early Access on November 14th. Receiving over 1,000 positive reviews on Steam, the game invites players to choose from four characters and attempt a prison break. Of course, players are able to view the release date trailer for a glimpse of the gameplay and art style of the game.

Astral Ascent

Astral Ascent invites players to a prison known as the Garden. Interestingly, the game is a roguelite that combines narrative with core roguelike mechanics. Players can choose from four distinct characters. Of course, these characters each come with their own personality, and playstyle. The game’s combat is lightning-fast and requires player skill to succeed. This, obviously, means failure is inevitable. Importantly, each failure allows the narrative to unfold as players follow it. Additionally, if you find the game to hard alone, team up with a friend in co-op to tackle the harder challenges.

Perhaps some of the hardest challenges of Astral Ascent are the twelve Zodiac-style bosses. These twelve, hardened, guardians are strewn about four separate worlds that layers will journey across. Get a look at these worlds and some of the bosses in the release date trailer. Check out the trailer below.

Astral Ascent is leaving Early Access on November 14th and fully launching. The game will be available on PC, via Steam, PlayStation, and Switch.
