Slime Rancher to Receive Its Own Movie Adaptation

The Slime Rancher Saga Continues

The charming first-person sandbox game Slime Rancher will finally arrive on the big screen. Story Kitchen and Monomi Park have joined forces to transform this beloved video game series into an exciting movie. And the movie is currently under development. This announcement came directly from Deadline, the online news website.

Slime Rancher 2

Slime Rancher made its debut in early access in 2016, followed by an official launch in 2017. Moreover, it currently has a remarkable 98% rating on Steam. The game has sold over six million copies, setting the stage for its sequel, Slime Rancher 2.

The gameplay is quite simple. You play as Beatrix LeBeau and embark on an adventurous journey to the Far, Far Range. It is a distant planet filled with colorful and unique slimes. Here you must catch and raise these adorable, gooey creatures known as slimes. And finally, turn them into profit.

Gamers loved this amazing concept of combining sandbox elements with cute and funny characters in an open-world setting. The game managed to sell over 300,000 copies in the first week of its release.

The news did not mention any director of the movie. It also did not include information regarding the progress. But we can rest assured that it is in good hands. Story Kitchen was founded by Derek Kolstad, the creator of John Wick. Along with Dmitri M. Johnson, the producer of Sonic the Hedgehog, and Mike Goldberg, a former APA agent.

TV adaptations of Tomb Raider and Splinter Cell are currently under production. Additionally, Story Kitchen is also bringing an animated series for the popular game Vampire Survivors to television screens.
