Chivalry 2 Raiding Party Update Launches, Joins PS Plus

Who Says it’s Dead?

Chivalry 2 will be coming up on its second birthday in a couple of months. The game launched in 2021 for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. Tomorrow, it will join the catalogue of games on PlayStation Plus. It also launches a major update called Raiding Party.

Unfortunately, a last minute delay to the Raiding Party update was announced. However, it will still launch this week at some point. There are two gameplay additions, as well as a major online feature for Chivalry 2. Raiding Party will be testing the crossplay functionality across all platforms. This feature includes the ability to form parties with players on other platforms.

A new map will be available with this update. The Sacking of Bridgetown is a 64-player Team Objective map. There are three phases to the assault on the city. It begins in the farmlands with the Defenders taking up arms as the peasants, then the fighting breaks into the streets of the town. In the third phase, the Attackers aim to evacuate the nobles from their castles. Grab them and literally throw them out the windows.

Players can also use a new weapon type. The Heavy Cavalry Sword is a long, but slow swinging saber. The Footman Man-At-Arms and Knights can make use of it. It also enables a unique special attack while on horseback. Again, Chivalry 2 will be on PS Plus tomorrow. Unfortunately, the Raiding Party update will be off for a few days or so.

Chivalry 2 is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
