New World OrderZ
Today, World War Z: Aftermath comes to Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. *Slaps the top of the consoles* These babies can fit so many zombies on screen. And that’s just the intended use with the new Horde Mode XL update, also launching today.
As the name probably hints, Horde Mode XL will have a ton more zombies onscreen for you to contend with. As great as that sounds, you won’t do much good against them without better weapons. Luckily, are a bunch of new ways of killing zeds as well.
Two new weapons will be available; Sai Knives and the Tri-Barrel Shotgun. Obviously, these are meant for close range combat. The update also reworks the weapon progression with new perks and weapon skins. If you are all about weapon skins, there are new premium skins to purchase and show off to the hordes of undead.

Horde Mode XL also adds a couple of curveballs to your survival game. World War Z: Aftermath will add mutators to the Horde Mode. The trailer doesn’t show them all off, but there do appear to be gold variants for some enemies. These likely take more damage, but give better rewards.
World War Z: Aftermath is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. Upgrading from PS4 or Xbox One to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S is free.
