Saber Interactive is an American video game developer and publisher with many successful games under its belt. These include Evil Dead: The Game, Space Marines 2, Snowrunner and Redout 2. The company has announced that World War Z: Aftermath will release on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 on January 24th, 2023. Furthermore, players will be able to enjoy the new Horde Mode XL, as a free update. The game is also available on PC via Steam, Epic Games Store and Microsoft Store, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Players that own the game on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will receive a free upgrade for the game to the next-gen version. Furthermore, players will be able to enjoy destroying zombies in different ways in 4k resolution at 60 frames per second on the next-gen consoles. Moreover, Horde Mode XL, which will be available exclusively on PC, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5, creates XL waves with over 1000 enemies. Players will have to deal with the problems of the horde mode, but much worse.
