Take Beautiful Screenshots With God of War Ragnarok Photo Mode

Get the Camera, Boy

Today, a new update is hitting Midgard. God of War Ragnarok now has a photo mode. Those who have played the game already know all about how wonderful the game looks. Everything from the characters to the enemies to the landscapes are worthy of a Kodak moment.

With the new photo mode, players will be able to capture their favorite moments from combat, cutscenes, and everything in between. On the PlayStation Blog, there are tips and directions on how to fully use the photo mode. There are several options to enhance your virtual photography skills.

God of War Ragnarok

Upon entering photo mode, players can change expressions for many characters. This includes Kratos, Atreus, Freya, Brok, Sindri, Tyr, Angrboda, Thor, and Thrud. Prepare to see a bunch of photos with Kratos and Thor bro-ing out instead of fighting to the death. You can also remove characters from the scene when in photo mode.

The God of War Ragnarok photo mode also has your standard photography elements. Focal length, field of view, camera roll, depth of field, focus distance, and F stop are all basic tools you can use. You can also mess with the film grain, exposure, and filter intensity to adjust the lighting. Once you have your perfect subject, you can also add logos, boarders, and vignettes.

The update is live right now. Hopefully, Sony Santa Monica will take advantage of this feature with some photography contests. God of War Ragnarok is available now for PS4 and PS5.
