Sims 4 Has a Bug That Is Making Everyone Nasty
The Sims 4 seems to have a glitch that is causing everyone to insult each other autonomously. Contrary to what some may think, it is more than the Sims simply waking up on the wrong side of the bed. This rudeness from the characters have been going on since last month. It would seem that they only started to get meaner following the release of patch in early October.
There is actually an entire thread about this issue on EA’s forum. Sims 4 fans have taken to that forum to vent about how insulting their Sims have started to act. “My Sims are suddenly incessantly insulting each other autonomously,” a player complained. “They are a family that are all good friends—no mischief traits or skills, no previous issues whatsoever.”
There is around 81 pages of spiteful stories from Sims 4 players on the forum. Apparently, this nastiness is causing families to fall apart. Players are forced to check in on their households’ every move as a result.
Since October’s update, Sims 4 characters have been nasty towards others “several times per minute of play.” Usually, players will have to prod them to get any type of mean behavior out of them. This is primarily due to the Loyal trait that devs recently added to the base game.
EA has already acknowledged the problem. They are already “actively working on a fix.” Unfortunately, there was no information on when the fix would be implemented. With that said, fans are hopeful that it will arrive sooner than later.
Many players have called this glitch as a game-breaking bug. It is tanking relationships and negative sentiments keep piling up. Hopefully, everyone will chill out, take a nap, and wake up feeling refreshed and much kinder after devs roll out the hotfix.
