Sony Has Confirmed October Launch Date for Uncharted 4
The Uncharted community has already gotten a lot of leaks about the franchise’s next game. One of the leaks suggested that the next title will be out by October 19th. True enough, Sony just confirmed that the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection is indeed coming out on that date. The collection includes Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy.
This will actually be the first time that Sony’s popular treasure-hunting franchise is releasing on PC. The collection will release on both Epic Games Store and Steam.
Moreover, the trailer that announced Uncharted 4’s release on PC also advertised some features that fans find appealing. Examples of which are 4K resolutions, Ultrawide support, and variable frame rate. Plus, the collection’s PC port will also have support for the unique features of DualSense Controllers if players want to plug one into their PC.
The announcement post from Sony also outlines other PC-centric features. Iron Galaxy included GPU and VRAM detection for settings optimization, a redesigned UI, support for Razer Chroma RGB dynamics, and Variable Load Speed. The PC port will also work upscaled with AMD Fidelity FX Super Resolution 2. There has been no mention about whether or not the port will feature DLSS support.
Uncharted 4 devs also informed the gaming community that players will be able to toggle or adjust the game’s graphics settings. These include “texture and model quality, anisotropic filtering, shadows, reflections, and ambient occlusion.”
Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection already has pages available on Steam and the Epic Games Store.
