Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Has Made It Easier to Spot Targets

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Devs Detailed Changes to Game’s Beta

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has some new changes to its beta. Infinity Ward has provided details about the patch notes to the gaming public. The most notable adjustment seems to be the improvements to player visibility.

With the recent changes to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, it will now be much easier for players to spot their enemies. Devs confirmed earlier this week that they planned to reduce muzzle smoke opacity. They also decided to increase muzzle flash visibility to so it is easier for them to track their targets.

The update also included some adjustments for the game’s audio. Devs reduced the distance from which players can hear the foot steps of others. Enemy sounds are now also more distinct.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will now also have a total of six maps. Devs added two new maps, namely Sa’id and Sariff Bay. There are also six playable modes following the inclusion of Invasion and Ground War. The latter offers 32v32 battle with dynamic combat and new vehicles.

“Invasion pits two teams of 20 players and 20 AI against each other,” devs announced. “With large maps, 80 combatants, water play, ground vehicles, air vehicles, and more—it is absolute chaos!”

The second weekend of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer beta started on Thursday. At the moment, the cross play test is open to all PlayStation users. It is also available in Early Access for PC and Xbox players who were able to pre-order the game. Devs have promised the game’s following that they are actively working on fixing the beta crashes on the Xbox platform.
