MultiVersus Open Beta Will Be Permanent Until Official Launch

Surprise Early Launch

Tony Huynh, the co-founder of Player First Games, has revealed that the MultiVersus July beta will essentially function as the game’s soft launch.

The new details were revealed after a fan had flat-out asked Huynh in a tweet whether the beta will be permanent until the game’s official launch, or if it will be a timed public test for the game like the closed Alpha before it. Huynh then took the chance to respond to the question personally, revealing that the beta will in fact be permanent leading up to the game’s official 1.0 version, unless game-breaking bugs are discovered.

Fans of MultiVersus should really celebrate this news given the fact that the game still does not have an official release date. The open beta will give everyone access to the somewhat finished product up until the game officially launches, which means the beta will essentially function as an early soft launch for the game.

The July beta should also include quite a lot of content to keep all fans engaged and satisfied. Fans should expect at least 16 characters that are currently available including Superman and Batman, as well as numerous leaked characters ranging from Rick Sanchez from “Rick and Morty” as well as Godzilla, Ted Lasso, Lebron James, Ben 10, and many more.

MultiVersus is set to be Warner Bros.’ Smash Bros-like game. With characters from every WB-owned IP including DC and Looney Tunes. The game is free-to-play and is set to be officially released sometime in 2022 on the Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, as well as PC.
