Multiversus Officially Fights Its Way To Full Launch In Early 2024

Player First Games along with Warner Bros. Games released their latest brawler title, Multiversus, into open beta on July 26th, 2022. The companies have now announced that the game’s open beta period will close on June 25th, 2023, almost one year after its release. Furthermore, the companies have confirmed that the action platform fighting game will release as a free to play title sometime in early 2024. The game will be available on PC via Steam, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Xbox One.

Tony, of Player First Games, explained the decision to close the open beta, stating, “As a result, we have a clearer view of what we need to focus on, specifically the content cadence of new characters, maps and modes to give you more ways to enjoy the game, along with updated netcode and more matchmaking improvements. We’ll also be reworking the progression system based on your feedback and looking at new ways for you to connect with your friends in the game.”

Moreover, although the game had a great launch, its player count dwindled rapidly. Fans are expecting that the upcoming downtime will give the developers the opportunity to revamp and improve upon various aspects of the game. In Multiversus, players jump into an action platform fighting game where they can enjoy intense 2v2 matchups with their favorite characters.
