Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria Brings Co-Op Survival to Middle Earth

Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria Will Be a Co-Op Survival Game

Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria will be a multiplayer survival game. The game is going to be set in the 4th age of JRR Tolkien’s Middle Earth. Players will be given the opportunity to team up with their fellow dwarves to carve out a new empire under the mountains.

Players are going to lead a group of Dwarves in their attempt to reclaim the last spoils from the Dwarven homeland of Moria. “Their quest will require fortitude, delving deep into the Mines of Moria to recover its treasures,” the press release read. “Players will join forces to survive, craft, build, and explore the iconic sprawling mines.”

Deep underground of the Misty Mountains, Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria players will band together to look for resources, build a subterranean base, as well as fight off goblins and orcs. Apparently, the noise that Dwarves make when they are hammering and chiseling in the mines attract these monstrous enemies.

Interestingly, players will also have to manage their sleep time and temperature while deep underground. They also need to create safe zones within the darkness with the use of unique dynamic light system in the mines. As they progress through Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria, they can get better machinery gear. To do this, they will just need to keep rebuilding ancient technology.

However, devs want fans to know that simply crafting gear and weapons is not the only way to swing their hammer. They also included a Comprehensive Dwarf Builder which is a special character creation tool. “No two adventures will be alike,” the devs said.

Furthermore, Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria’s co-op feature will reportedly support up to eight players. However, it is worth noting that players who want to play alone can also do solo.
