ILL Has Players Battling Mutating Human Flesh
ILL is a first-person horror survival game. It seems to be the closest that players are going to get to another game that is based on The Thing. Fans got a preview at The Future Games Show and it showcased its horrific monsters. There will be messes of mutated human bones and flesh that are going to try to devour the players.
These mockeries of human flesh can transform during combat. They will split and rearrange themselves into even scarier forms that are going to force ILL players to reassess their fighting strategies. Furthermore, this does not really pull any punches with how players are going to deal with the threats they have to face within the game.
It seems that ILL’s focus is on dismemberment. Players will have to blow away the enemies’ heads, legs and arms. Basically, they will have to whatever they need to do to slow these monsters down. Slowing them down gives them a lot of advantage during the fight. They can even try to break up the environment around them to create more space or an opportunity to get away.
Players need to keep in mind that ILL is a survival horror game through and through. With that said, blasting every threat that gets in their way is not their only mission. Managing their ammo and resources is also part of the experience. This means that they need to come up with a good tactical strategy an think about when they should squeeze the trigger. After all, every bit of flesh that they blast away can even eventually take a life of their own.
Stealth seems to be the best approach for ILL players. It might be best for players to stay hidden to access the danger. They just have to plan accordingly and attack at the right moment to their advantage.
