V Rising Sells One Million Copies in Just One Week
V Rising has sold one million copies just one week after its launch on Early Access. Devs released the game on PC via Steam Early Access on May 17th. Having sold a million copies in that short period of time is a bloody big success.
“1,000,000 vampires have risen from their slumber,” devs wrote on social media. “Thank you all for being a part of this achievement!”
V Rising has definitely reached a lot of milestones since its EA launch. It quickly got into Steam’s top 10 most played games just one day after its release. Plus, it also sold half a million copies just a couple days after that. It has amassed 100,000 concurrent players and became the #7 game on the website as a result.
In fact, V Rising became Steam’s best-selling game in the week that it launched. It even climbed to the #5 spot with 150,000 concurrent players the same day that devs broke the news. Indeed, V Rising is quickly rising up the gaming charts. However, many fans are speculating that the next milestone might not be easy to reach.
According to SteamDB, the game’s peak concurrent player count so far is 150,000. From #5, it has also slipped down one spot to sixth place on the most played chart. Still, it is worth noting that V Rising has a very active early player base.
The current players is only from the game’s Early Access release on Steam. This indicates that Epic Games Store players and console-only fans have not even gotten in on the action just yet. With that said, many players are expecting that the numbers will rise following the game’s full official launch to the gaming public.
