With Supermassive Games taking a break from The Dark Pictures Anthology, The Quarry will be filling in a gap left by the other interactive horror games. The game is a love letter to 80s slasher movies and we can show you what comes with The Quarry Deluxe Edition.
The Quarry was announced last month and will be coming out in a relatively short time. It’s June release date is in sight, so you may want to consider The Quarry Deluxe Edition when securing your copy. It comes with several different features, including an expanded Movie Mode.
The Deluxe Edition comes with Death Rewind Instant Access, Gorefest Movie Mode, 80’s-Themed Character Outfits, and Horror History Visual Filters. Death Rewind is a feature that allows you three chances to make different decisions that may save a character from certain death. This feature unlocks after the first playthrough, but the Deluxe Edition grants it to players at launch.
Gorefest Movie Mode is for fans of grindhouse horror. This will select the most gruesome, horrible deaths for characters in Movie Mode. 80’s-Themed Character Outfits are pretty self-explanatory. These cosmetics dress the characters up in traditional 80s garb to help them fit in with the times the game is trying to capture.
Horror History Visual Filters allow for some graphical changes. Players can make the game black and white or slap on other filters that harken back to classic 80s horror movies. Pre-ordering the standard edition will also get you the visual filters, but The Quarry Deluxe Edition comes with all of the above.
The Quarry will be coming out on June 10th for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
