System Purge, 2D Platformer, Escapes to Launch Today

An Ancient Machine, A Thrilling Story

Who knows what secrets lurk beneath the earth. What dark places can be under there unknown to most people. Now you’ll have a chance to explore a possibility. Today Indie Developer Actual Nerds is happy to announce the release of their 2D action platformer, System Purge, on PC via Steam. In addition to the release, Actual Nerds has unveiled a new official Steam Launch trailer which gives player a look at the game and its style.

System Purge places players deep underground in a mysterious facility. As the protagonist stuck within this facility, you are searching for your lost lover, and trying to find your way out. Of course, this isn’t a walk in the park. The facility is full of danger. Traps, lasers, and other challenges will all be in your way. Players will traverse seven distinct areas, each with their own secrets. From an abandoned weapon lab to vast dark chambers, you will explore everything the facility can throw at you. Additionally, players need to keep their eyes peeled for secrets and hidden challenges. Completing these challenges will fill you in on the history of the facility.

In addition to the release of the game comes the launch trailer. The trailer gives players a glimpse of the seemingly difficult platforming gameplay. Furthermore, players can also see the dark, yet atmospheric, art style of the game.

System Purge is out today on PC via Steam. Currently the game costs $5.69. System Purge was a previous Game Jam winner, and Actual Nerds is confident that the full release stays true to it’s indie game roots. So, can you escape the facility?
