Skate 4’s Pre-Alpha Footage May Have Just Been Leaked

Skate 4’s Pre-Alpha Footage Was Seemingly Leaked

Skate 4 fans have been waiting for EA to unveil a preview of the game for quite some time now. It has been almost two years since the game’s official announcement. Thankfully for fans, it looks like its pre-alpha footage made its way to the Internet.

A 32-second sneak peek of Skate 4’s gameplay was somehow leaked online. Unfortunately, the video has now been removed. However, the poster claims that it was a pre-alpha footage of the much-awaited game. At the moment, devs are not confirming if that was truly what it was. However, there are some pieces of evidence that points to its validity.

On a surface level, the animations and physics featured in the video closely resemble previous games from the franchise despite its incomplete state. Its controller overlay also makes use of a single stick control scheme for tricks, unlike contemporaries Skater XL and Session.

The release of this leaked video is also timely with a post from famous video game leaker Tom Henderson. The known CoD and Battlefield leaker asked the gaming community on social media yesterday about who were able to get into the Skate 4 play test. The fact that the short clip came the next day seems a little more than a coincidence.

This is Skate 4 pre-alpha footage, said another gaming industry leaker. “This is in line with what I have heard about where the game is at from multiple people.”

Apparently, the Skate 4 team is “trying to get the feel right which is probably the most important aspect of a Skate game.”

The game’s launch is still a mystery as of this moment. However, this leaked footage is something that will tide them over until the devs finally announce when the game will be available.
