Elden Ring’s PC Requirements Are Here
Elden Ring is almost up and ready. Now is the best time for players to find out if they have what is needed to run it smoothly. Developer FromSoftware just revealed what the game’s system requirements are, which somehow gives PC users some time to prepare ahead of February 25th.
The game’s specifications briefly made an appearance on Steam earlier this week. At the time, fans initially expected that what was listed was the minimum. Unfortunately, that does not seem to be the case.
Elden Ring players will need at least 12GB of RAM to run the game with either an AMD Radeon RX 580 or an Nvidia GTX 1060. Fans who want to run the game at its recommended specs will need a bit more of RAM space. They will need 16GB with either an AMD Radeon Vega 56 or an Nvidia GTX 1070.
These specs are a far cry from the sort that fans have seen in other games from the studio. At the moment, it remains unclear how the community’s devices will handle the game and whether FromSoftware is overshooting on Elden Ring’s specs a little bit. After all, they have not really provided any specific settings that any of this hardware will result in.
Still, it has become apparent that Elden Ring devs want PC players to have a gaming experience that is pretty much similar to what they can get on today’s latest gen consoles, the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
Fans are expecting that the minimum requirements will simply run the game consistently on the lowest settings. However, it is worth noting that the recommended specs might not cut it for the games best graphics as well. Despite Elden Ring providing a specs chart, fans are still relatively in the dark with exactly what they need to max out the game’s visuals options.
