Today Bungie gives players a detailed look at the Destiny 2’s newest expansion, The Witch Queen, and what to expect with its release. A thirteen minute video documentary from Bungie dives into the new expansion and provides details for Destiny 2 players.Â
Destiny 2: The Witch Queen looks to turn the understanding of light and darkness on its head. The Witch Queen, in Destiny 2’s Season of the Risen, is using the power of the light to bring back some menacing foes. Additionally she will create even more challenges for Guardians to deal with. Furthermore, her throne world is one of ever shifting darkness and light. The expansion will challenge players perceptions of darkness and light, allowing them to question if light is pure good and if darkness is purely evil.Â
In addition to a new storyline, centering around the Witch Queen and her throne world, the expansion introduces a host of new features. A new weapon archetype, the glaive, makes its appearance allowing players to try devastating new combos. Also, taking the weapons further, players can master the crafting system to make sure they are ready to take on a god.Â
Destiny 2 The Witch Queen is releasing on February 22nd, 2022. Additionally players can pre-order two other editions. The Deluxe Edition and the Bungie 30th Anniversary Bundle. Both additions come with a slew of in game prizes as well as the base game itself. So, prepare yourselves Guardians. The Witch Queen is coming.Â
