A new Nintendo Direct presentation will air tomorrow. This will be the first presentation for the company this year. It will live stream around the world, detailing approximately 40 minutes of highly anticipated information about upcoming Switch games for the first half of 2022.

Some eagle-eyed Nintendo Direct followers noticed a key phrase in the announcement. Although the presentation will be “mainly focused” on games that devs have scheduled to release in the first half of 2022, fans are expecting to get a surprise or two. Many gamers are excited that the live stream will also provide details about some games releasing in the second half of this year.

This much-awaited event gives Nintendo fans a meaningful glimpse into the console manufacturer’s year ahead. At the moment, the release of so many key games are still up in the air. Fans are hoping that the devs will finally shine some light on their launch date.

With just a day left, Switch users are absolutely hyped up. Every Nintendo Direct in the past have been such a big deal within the gaming community. Some even spawned art, fan theories, conspiracies, and even their own spoiler subculture.

With Nintendo Direct happening at least four times in a year, the February one is usually a big one. Last year featured a bevy of new game announcements. 

This year, fans are hoping that the presentation will include Ubisoft’s Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope, Bayonetta 3, and Splatoon 3, among others. It is worth noting, however, that Ubisoft may reserve the announcement for Sparks of Hope for their own upcoming showcase.
