Forza Horizon 5 Devs Are Adding 4 New Chinese Manufactured Cars
Forza Horizon 5 has been racing past one milestone after another since its launch. It already had 15 million players a couple of weeks ago. Now, it is recognized as the biggest launch for the whole franchise in China.
To celebrate the Year of the Tiger, devs are incorporating a number of Chinese manufactured supercars into the game. This will be for the first time in the whole series. This opens up the game’s already extensive library to a whole region’s stock of vehicles.
Devs are adding a squad of new cars from different Chinese manufacturers to the in-game vehicle roster next month. For the first time ever, Forza Horizon 5 players will be able to drive Chinese cars in the franchise.
To start, Forza Horizon 5 Creative Director Mike Brown revealed the first four cars that will skid into the roster in February’s update. They are the MG XPower SVR, Wuling Sunshine, MG 3, and NIO EP9.
A fan has pointed out that the Sunshine is a particularly notable edition. It may have a minivan design, but “it was the best selling car in China at one point.” “While it looks like the last car you would see in a racing game,” the fan wrote. “There is a meme around it being a super car across the country.”
Forza Horizon 5 had a very successful launch in China. With that said, devs decided to expand the game to make it more accessible for their Chinese following. They added localization options for the newly added vehicles, too. Racers across the globe might be coming across these models for the first time. However, Chinese players will immediately be able to recognize most of the new additions.
Devs are rolling out Update 4 sometime in February. With that said, players will finally get to try out all of these cars first-hand when it lands in the game.
