Naraka: Bladepoint Comes Out Next Month, Console Versions Later

Get to the Bladepoint

The ancient China-inspired battle royale game Naraka: Bladepoint will officially be coming out next month. It had gone through its beta earlier this year and it will soon be ready for players to wage battle against each other. It will launch on PC, but there are plans for other platforms.

Developer 24 Entertainment has released gameplay footage captured on PS5. The video is short, but shows a single player component, maybe a tutorial. We see the player take down some common enemies before encountering a more powerful player-like foe, meant to give you a taste of PvP combat.

Naraka: Bladepoint

Unlike most battle royale games, Naraka: Bladepoint will be focusing on close combat, using spears, daggers, great swords, longswords, and katanas. There are ranged weapons available, such as bows, crossbows, cannons, rifles, pistols, flamethrowers, and rocket-powered arrow cannons. Players can also use a super ability that transforms a player into a powerful Vajra Warrior.

Right now, you can pre-order Naraka: Bladepoint and receive an additional hero Yoto Hime and bonus outfit for the hero Tarka Ji.

Naraka: Bladepoint had reached over 120,000 concurrent players during its open beta, so hopefully the game can ride that wave of popularity beyond its initial release. The details for a console release are scarce, but the gameplay was captured on PS5, so we know that it will come out for that console.

Unfortunately for console owners, we don’t have an official release date or even a confirmed list of supporting platforms. Naraka: Bladepoint will be coming out on August 12th for PC, and PS5 at a later date. Hopefully, Xbox Series X|S will get a chance too.
