New Features Await in Naraka: Bladepoint
NetEase Games and 24 Entertainment have started the fifth anniversary celebration for Naraka: Bladepoint, with one of the biggest content drops yet. During a special anniversary livestream, the developers revealed the “GIVE ME FIVE” update, launching on July 2 with new gameplay features, generous rewards, and a glimpse at the game’s future.
The biggest addition is Wanchu, the first amphibious map in the game’s history. Players will finally be able to take battles underwater thanks to a brand new combat system that introduces vertical movement, underwater dodges, whirlpools, and unique finishers. Exploring the depths comes with its own challenge, as players must manage their oxygen by keeping an eye on stamina. The map also features interactive locations, dynamic weather, hidden treasure vaults, and valuable loot that can change the flow of every match.
The update also introduces Ye Xiu, a new hero designed for aggressive, fast-paced combat. He arrives with the Kaleidoscope Parasol, the game’s first transforming weapon that can switch between offensive and defensive forms. Players can also explore Stormchant, a new extraction-style map featuring underground caverns, the White Snake boss, and a mission to rescue an emperor.
To celebrate five years of support, players will receive free anniversary rewards, including premium skins, cosmetics, login bonuses, permanent treasure chests, Tae Craftsman Orbs, an Extreme Temulch outfit, and 15 exclusive cosmetics.
Looking ahead, the developers confirmed that two new heroes will arrive within a single season for the first time, with Nangong planned for later this September. More crossover collaborations are also in the works, including museums, Antarctic research teams, and anime franchises.
Overall, the anniversary update marks an exciting new chapter for Naraka: Bladepoint, giving players plenty of reasons to return to the battlefield.
