Get Ready to Set Sail in World of Warships: Legends
Wargaming is kicking off the summer season in World of Warships: Legends with a content-packed July update celebrating the 250th anniversary of American Independence Day. The upcoming update will introduce themed activities, new warships, and a fresh campaign, giving players plenty of reasons to return to the high seas.
The celebration is headlined by the new “Three Eras of Freedom” Collection and the “Big Chief” Calendar. By completing daily Calendar tasks, players can unlock Commander Ernest E. Evans, along with three Commander guises inspired by notable figures from different eras of U.S. naval history. Throughout the event, players can also earn the limited-time currency Independium. They can exchange them for the Legendary-tier destroyer USS Burrows, exclusive historical ship skins, and cosmetics for the newly introduced destroyers.
Another major addition is the arrival of four U.S. alternative destroyers in Early Access. The lineup includes Tier V Kane, Tier VI Hughes, Tier VII Osborne, and Tier VIII Christopher. These ships feature the new Advanced Radar ability, allowing players to periodically reveal enemy positions on the minimap when targets are within range. Players can obtain these destroyers through special U.S. Alternative Destroyer Crates and the Steel Eagles random bundle, which also offers a chance to earn the Tier VIII Premium cruiser Cambridge.
The update also introduces the Pacific Hammer campaign, where players can complete 100 milestones over five weeks. Those with active Admiralty Backing who finish the campaign will unlock the Tier VIII Premium battleship Indiana, a South Dakota-class vessel equipped with powerful secondary guns and versatile consumables.
Overall, the July update promises to deliver a great mix of historical celebrations, new gameplay features, and worthwhile rewards, making it a fun month for both veteran captains and new players in World of Warships: Legends.
