Join the Hunt
After being fairly silent for the last half year, we have some more information on one of the upcoming Vampire: The Masquerade games. There are three games from this series on our radar; Bloodlines 2, Swansong, and the vampire battle royale game. Who knows what’s going on with the first two, but a new trailer for the BR is out and now the game has an official title. Bloodhunt is being worked on by Sharkmob and fans will be able to get their first taste of the game at some point this year.
The new trailer has a nice mix of in-engine and pre-rendered footage, as well as a bit of gameplay to feast your eyes on. Just like we have seen in the teaser trailer, players will be making use of hand-to-hand combat, firearms, and supernatural abilities in battle. In the larger series, different powers are used by different vampire clans, so it will be interesting to see how players get to choose what abilities they get to bring into combat. The trailer also shows us the customization aspect to the game. It appears that players will be able to choose gender, skin tone, hairstyle/color, and clothing.
When the teaser first came out, it seemed that 2021 was the targeted release window for Bloodhunt, however that seems kind of unrealistic at this point. There will be a closed alpha that players can sign up for that will likely be taking place this year. Bloodhunt is set to launch on PC.
