Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Will Not Be at E3 2021

We’ll Have to Wait For a Little Longer to Play as King Shark

Suicide Squad fans have been waiting to learn more about acclaimed studio Rocksteady’s upcoming Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League game since August 2020, but they’ll have to wait a little longer. The pandemic has pushed back the launch dates of so many other games, so it’s not exactly a surprise that the minds behind the critically and commercially successful Batman: Arkham games need a bit more time to work. As such, it appears that the new Suicide Squad game will not be making an appearance at E3 this year. We’ll have to wait for a later date to see more of Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, and King Shark’s impossible quest to save the world and, well, kill the Justice League.

The game will feature a single-player mode where gamers can switch between characters at will and a multiplayer co-op mode that allows players to team up with friends. Unfortunately, that’s about all we know so far because while Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has a lot of hype behind it, Warner Bros has elected to keep the project on the backburner this year. Supposedly, 2022 will be a “gaming field year” for the publisher and DC both, so there’s no need to panic. The game hasn’t been canceled or anything, it just won’t be highlighted at E3 this year.

As of writing, Warner Bros has announced that the only presentation it has scheduled for E3 and Summer Game Fest 2021 is a showcase of Back 4 Blood, another hotly anticipated title. Disappointed Suicide Squad fans may want to check out the Back 4 Blood presentation. This zombie-smashing multiplayer action game should be able to give you that adrenaline fix you’ve been craving.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is scheduled to release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X in 2022.
