Limited Run Games Has Officially Partnered with Xbox

I Can Hear Xbox Fans Licking Their Lips

It can argued that Limited Run Games has come up with some of the best Collector’s Editions for games in the past several years. They have recently released special bundles for the Shantae series, Castlevania Anniversary Collection, No More Heroes, and Scott Pilgrim vs The World: The Game, just to name a few. Fans of all kinds would love to get their hands on some of these items, but Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S have been notably absent from the supported platforms of these games.

It’s not that none of these games are available on Xbox consoles; Doom publisher Bethesda is part of the Microsoft family, several Shantae games and the Scott Pilgrim game are both on Xbox One. For some reason, there just haven’t been any releases from Limited Run Games for Xbox games. Even their site does not have an Xbox section. This will probably soon change though. On the most recent Xbox Expansion Pass podcast, founders of Limited Run Games Douglas Borgart and Josh Fairhurst spoke of a partnership between them and Xbox that was established last year. They specifically talked about working with Bethesda and Double Fine, and how one of their first initiatives with Xbox would hopefully be to redo some of those releases to include Xbox games.

Limited Run Games releases often include a bunch of physical collector’s items, like steelbook cases, posters, and artwork. It is time that Xbox fans got their hands on some of these as well.
