A Second Guilty Gear Strive Beta Announced for Next Month

More Guilty, More Gear

Guilty Gear Strive was supposed to have been released earlier this month, but was delayed until June. No doubt, fans were disappointed by that, but if it is any consolation, the final product will be all the better for it and there will be another open beta before then. Like the first beta, there will be several modes to choose from, including Versus, Tutorial, Training, and Online modes. Player-created rooms will not be available though. The first beta gave players access to 13 of the 15 final characters, but this time, you will be able to play as Ahji and I-No, who have since been revealed.

There are a few improvements and differences made in this beta. Online Mode now has Duel Stations, which appears to be a lobby system that allows players to match up with opponents. Through the Duel Stations, players can also elect to have up to three rematches. During matches, your ping will be displayed by milliseconds and rollback frames will also be visible to see the quality of connection between players.

Starting on May 7th, players on PS4 and PS5 will be able to download the beta, but will not be able to actually play it until May 13th with crossplay between the two consoles. The beta will close on May 16th. If you already have the first beta downloaded, you will not have download the new one, but it will update. Guilty Gear Strive will be available on PC, PS4, and PS5 on June 11th.
