Guilty Gear Strive Beta Testing Begins This Month

PlayStation Only Though

Guilty Gear fans, I have tasty information for you. In under a couple of weeks, you could be playing the Guilty Gear Strive beta. Here is the timeline, so that you don’t miss a beat. For those of you who have pre-ordered the digital version on the PlayStation Store, you can download and play the beta on February 17th. The following day, on February 18th, the general public can join the beta, which can be downloaded from the PlayStation Store. The test will run until February 21st, then it’s just a few more months until it launches in April.

Guilty Gear Strive

The beta will have four modes; a Versus mode with a CPU against the player, a Tutorial mode where you can be shown the ropes, a Training mode where you can develop and practice your skills, and the Network mode where you can face off against other players online. The beta will also give testers access to most of the characters that the game will launch with. Arc System Works says that there will be 15 characters, but 13 will be playable in the beta. Anji Mito and the 15th character, which has not yet been revealed, will not be in the beta.

The beta will be active for both PS4 and PS5 players, but it is unclear if they will be playing together or on separate servers. Either way, fans of the series are surely excited for the upcoming game, which is apparently bringing the story of Guilty Gear to a close. Guilty Gear Strive will be out on PC, PS4, and PS5 on April 9th.
