Destruction AllStars Digital Deluxe Edition, Seasons Incoming

Hey Now, You’re an AllStar

Last month saw the release of the PS5 exclusive Destruction AllStars. Developer Lucid Games is now talking about the future of the game and its post-launch content. In a PlayStation Blog post, they talk about several elements that they plan to add including Competitive Mode, Battle Pass, Photo Mode, and rotating Seasons of content. Lucid has also announced the upcoming release of Destruction AllStars Digital Deluxe Edition, which comes with some premium currency and cosmetics. It seems like a bit of a snub to those who would have wanted this edition from day one though.

Adding a Competitive or ranked mode for a game like this seems like a no-brainer. Almost all of the content is PvP, so the new game mode Blitz will be made specifically for the competitive experience. Blitz will have four teams of three and will be introduced in Season 1. There will also a Battle Pass for each season. The Battle Pass will have a free tier and a premium tier, so you won’t need to purchase the pass to earn rewards. The first Season of content will be called Hotshots, which will focus on certain AllStars and be adding a brand new one, as well.

Early next month, Destruction AllStars Digital Deluxe Edition will be available. This comes with 1,100 Destruction Points, a character and vehicle skin for Lupita, an emote for Lupita, a Profile Banner Set, an In-Game Avatar Set, a digital artbook, and access to 8 Challenge Series. Challenge Series usually cost 400 Destruction Points to unlock, so getting the Digital Deluxe Edition really opens the door to a lot of premium content. Destruction AllStars Standard Edition is available now for PS5 and the Digital Deluxe Edition will be available on April 6th.
