Oddworld 2021
Hey, everyone! Good news! The upcoming 2017 Oddworld game will finally be coming out! Yeah, it’s been a longtime coming and there have been a lot of delays and sidetracks, but Oddworld: Soulstorm should be out this Spring. Lips stitched and fingers crossed. The last time we got a good look at this game was back in June when the PS5 was revealed. That trailer showed us the really good looking cinematics and some gameplay, but here we are treated to all gameplay footage, so fans know exactly what the game is going to look like.
Oddworld: Soulstorm is a remake of the 1998 Oddworld: Abe’s Exoddus, so even though there is more than twenty years of visual improvements, fans see this game just how their nostalgia dresses it up to look. Something that is brand new to Soulstorm is the crafting system described in the trailer. As Abe continues his crusade to free his people, he will be faced with obstacles, both environmental and in the form of enemies. He will have to gather resources and make tools and concoctions with them to overcome these challenges.
Finally, the release window for Soulstorm. Oddworld Inhabitants is expected to release the game sometime in Spring 2021. Oddworld: Soulstorm will be released as a Epic Games Store exclusive on PC, as well as on PS4 and PS5.
