Uplay Plus May Join Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Lineup

EA Play May Be Replaced by Uplay+ on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate

According to known leaker Idle Sloth, Uplay+ may be coming to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate in the same way that EA Play recently joined the lineup. Both EA Play and Uplay+ are subscription services that offer access to games developed by those teams, but Xbox Game Pass will apparently continue to bring similar services to its platform. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers already have access to the extensive EA Play lineup which includes titles such as Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, and Battlefield V.

Ubisoft

While EA Play joined the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate lineup at a pivotal point for Xbox, at the launch of the Xbox Series X/S, it looks like Ubisoft+ will join at a less crucial time next year. While gamers typically have to pay Ubisoft in order to access the titles offered through Uplay+/Ubisoft Connect, it looks like the service will join Xbox Game Pass Ultimate the same way that EA Play joined the lineup. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate gamers can already download their favorite EA titles from the EA Play catalog in the comfort of the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate ecosystem.

Idle Sloth has predicted a few things accurately in recent years, and it’s entirely possible that EA Play is part of the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate lineup for a limited time. It’ll be interesting to see whether EA Play is immediately replaced by Uplay+ or Ubisoft Connect immediately or if the subscription service will have some sort of downtime between releases. Among the other Xbox rumors leaked by Idle Sloth are two more big acquisitions being announced, Xbox Live Gold being dropped, and Bethesda/ZeniMax exclusivity beginning in 2021.
