Black Ops: Cold War Goes to the Motherland

Latest Cold War Update Brings Motherland Playlists and Fixes

Activision and Treyarch have confirmed the release of the first season of Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War coming later this month, but they quietly updated the game yesterday. Among the plethora of bug fixes joined a new playlist known as Motherland Moshpit for Standard and Hardcore modes. This playlist will be available until the launch of Season One on December 16th. Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War is available right now for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC.

The new Motherland Moshpit that Treyarch brought to Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War includes Crossroads Strike, in addition to Moscow DM, Domination, Kill Confirmed, and Hardpoint. The Hardcore Motherland Moshpit is also available in the same maps, but with only TDM, Domination, and Kill Confirmed available. The Motherland Moshpit is live for eight days, giving fans of Moscow and Crossroads Strike only a few days to grind this playlist before it leaves the rotation.

In addition to the new playlist come several bug changes such as visual issues with camos and prestige icons in multiplayer, as well as spawn adjustments, UI issues, and minor stability fixes. Zombies also saw some improvements in the recent update to Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War, seeing a necessary fix to progression, combat record improvements, UI fixes, and they fixed the issue with create-a-class slots not showing up. Die Maschine also got several stability improvements and bug fixes, with Season One intel also being added to the map.
