Minecraft Goes to a Galaxy Far, Far Away

Star Wars Mashes up With Minecraft

A new Star Wars Minecraft mash-up adds content from A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, and The Mandalorian to the familiar survival/builder game, Minecraft. It’s available on the Minecraft Marketplace for 1340 Minecoins (about $7) and includes 12 different planet dioramas, special Star Wars skins, and the appearance of Baby Yoda. There are well-known Star Wars locations included such as Hoth, the Mos Eisley Cantina, the Death Star, and even Jabba’s palace. Minecraft and the new Star Wars DLC are both available right now on Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, PC, and mobile.

Similar to other DLC packages in Minecraft, the new Star Wars DLC changes up the look and feel of your world so you can feel like you’re roaming the freezing flats of Hoth or sandy dunes of Tatooine. Included in the new Star Wars package is familiar songs from the iconic and lengthy Star Wars soundtrack. This means that while you explore your favorite locations from the original trilogy and The Mandalorian, you can also expect to hear your favorite Star Wars music at the same time rather than the tranquil stock Minecraft music.

Among the previous Minecraft mashups are DLC packs such as Jurassic World, Toy Story, and The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim, but even the less brand name Minecraft DLC packs such as the mythology bundle, Coral Crafters, and Holiday Skin Pack all change up Minecraft in fun ways. Now that the Star Wars DLC pack has officially we released, it’s worth checking out if you’re a fan of the original trilogy and/or The Mandalorian and enjoy an excuse to play Minecraft.
