BlizzCon Online 2021 Will Be Free to All

Typically BlizzCon Tickets Cost Money, but Not Next Year

Blizzard Entertainment has officially confirmed that BlizzCon Online next year will be free for all Blizzard fans to enjoy. Blizzard is hoping that all of their community is able to attend BlizzCon this year, so they decided to make it free when past BlizzCon events require tickets that could be purchased for $50 or more. Considering most Blizzard games still include purchasable cosmetic items, the money fans save on BlizzCon Online next year can be spent on their favorite games. BlizzCon Online will take place from February 19th until the 20th next year.

“While we won’t have a physical show this year, we’re very much looking forward to BlizzConline early next,” said Blizzard president J. Allen Brack. “We want it to be a big virtual celebration, so BlizzConline will be free to watch and engage in.” J. Allen Brack also emphasized how important it was to bring in as many Blizzard fans as possible next year who may have disconnected from the publisher over the years or since they canceled BlizzCon 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

BlizzCon Online 2021 will likely include Blizzard staples such as Diablo, Warcraft, and Overwatch, and fans of these titles are encouraged to check out the free BlizzCon Online event. “Despite the many challenges of the pandemic, over 95% of the global Blizzard workforce is working from home,” continued J. Allen Brack. “Working hard to bring the great experiences that you expect across all of our games.” Blizzard Entertainment will be releasing World of Warcraft: Shadowlands on November 23rd and may have more Shadowlands news at the upcoming BlizzCon Online.
