BlizzCon Going Digital in 2021

Socially-Distanced Event Happening This February

Like all massive public gatherings happening this year, BlizzCon was canceled. Instead, it looks like the event is going digital. The good news is that fans won’t have long to wait. BlizzConline 2021 is coming this February, from the 19th to the 20th. Finally, your Blizzard fix will be delivered!

Planning for the event is still in the early stages, but there’s a few items that are already on the board. So far a cosplay contest, a pet cosplay contest, a digital storytelling contest, an art contest, and a talent show are all in the works for this February. Blizzard reps noted that “We still have a lot of planning to do, and it’ll be some time before we’re ready to share more details—but we wanted to provide a heads-up on how you can be a part of the online fun.”

While there are plenty of technical details to sort out (like tickets, if they’re going to involved), but the big question mark is announcements. Blizzard is known for taking their sweet time when it comes to game releases. With Overwatch 2 and Diablo 4 only announced last year, will Blizzard have much to show off when BlizzCon arrives? We’ll let you know when more concrete details are released.
