Katamari Damacy Reroll Rolling Onto PS4 and Xbox One

Katamari Damacy Reroll Coming to Xbox One and PS4 in Japan

Developers at Bandai Namco have confirmed that Katamari Damacy Reroll will be releasing for Xbox One and PS4 in Japan. Although the port is only confirmed for a Japanese release at this time, it’s likely that Xbox One and PS4 gamers in the west will eventually get their hands on the rebuilt 2004 PS2 game, Katamari Damacy. Katamari Damacy was rereleased for both the Nintendo Switch and PC in 2018 and Xbox One and PS4 gamers in Japan will finally get their hands on the upgraded PS2 classic on November 19th. Katamari Damacy Reroll is available right now for PC and Nintendo Switch.

Katamari Damacy Reroll

Katamari Damacy Reroll is more than a port of the PS2 classic as it includes “fully updated graphics, completely recreated cutscenes and in full HD.” While Katamari is a natural handheld game, Xbox One and PS4 gamers in Japan will finally get their hands on Katamari Damacy Reroll this November, with an expected western release either later this year or early next year. Historically Katamari games have released in the West just months after the Japanese release.

The last brand new Katamari title to release was Touch My Katamari on PS Vita way back in 2011, but the game’s creator Keita Takahashi continues to be busy trying new things. His most recent title is called Wattam and it’s about making friends with the world around you. While fans in the west may be able to get their hands on Katamari Damacy Reroll for the Nintendo Switch and PC, it’s likely that a portion of the Katamari audience gaming on PS4 and Xbox One is being left out, so we hope to see Katamari Damacy Reroll release for those platforms in the west like it is for the Japanese audience.
