Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny Coming to Nintendo Switch

Nippon Ichi Software Confirms Disgae 6: Defiance of Destiny

Nippon Ichi Software has officially confirmed Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny is coming exclusively to the Nintendo Switch. Disgaea 6 will break from Disgaea tradition by featuring fully 3D visuals, new mechanics such as Super Reincarnation, and much more. Gamers will also be given options such as Auto, Retry, and Replay to make battles less punishing than previous titles. Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny is releasing exclusively for Nintendo Switch in Summer 2021.

While Nippon Ichi Software hasn’t confirmed whether or not Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny will be releasing for other consoles, but it’s likely that the game will eventually wind up on PC anyway. The plot of Disgae 6: Defiance of Destiny centers around a zombie named Zed who’s defeated everyone except for a God of Destruction which changes everything. The fully 3D visuals breathe new life into the Disgaea franchise, taking the strategy series in a brand new direction. The animation showed off during the recent unveil trailer for Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny showed off beautiful 3D animations comparable to an anime series.

The max level in Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny has been raised to 99999999, so Disgaea grinders will have lots of battles to go through to reach maximum level. Just as usual, there are multiple characters to level up in Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny including the well-known mascot Prinny. While the level cap is so ridiculously high in Disgaea 6, I have no doubt that some fans will reach it on multiple characters as they grind their way through the 3D take on the classic tactical RPG formula.
