Lots of Destiny 2 Content is Being Locked Away Soon
Bungie will be releasing the Destiny 2 Beyond Light expansion this November, bringing loads of new content to the game at a cost. While Bungie is adding to the game in many ways with the expansion, they’ll also be locking away lots of existing content in the Destiny Content Vault. This includes Gambit maps, Crucible maps, Strikes, Raids, PvP modes, Catalysts, and exotic quests. Most of the raids will be locked away, as will nearly a third of the Strikes and Crucible maps. Destiny 2 is available on Xbox One, PS4, PC and Google Stadia right now, with Beyond Light releasing on November 10th.
Io, The Pyramidion, The Festering Core, Titan, A Garden World, Tree of Probabilities, Mercury, Will of the Thousands, Savathûn’s Song, Mars, and Strange Terrain are all Destiny 2 Strikes that will be locked away in the content vault upon the release of the Beyond Light Expansion. Kell’s Grave (Tangled Shore) and Cathedral of Scars (Dreaming City) are the only Gambit maps that will be removed in November. Vostok, Legion’s Gulch, Gambler’s Ruin, Firebase Echo, Eternity, Equinox, Emperor’s Respite, The Citadel, Retribution, Solitude, and Meltdown are all of the Crucible maps being locked away this fall.
PvP modes such as Scorched, Doubles, Lockdown, Countdown, Supremacy, Breakthrough, and Momentum Control will all be put into the Destiny Content Vault this November. Fans of raiding in Destiny 2 will want to complete Leviathan, Eater of Worlds (Leviathan), Spire of Stars (Leviathan), Scourge of the Past (Last City), Crown of Sorrows (Leviathan) before they’re locked away. Sturm, Truth, Thorn, Lumina, Bad Juju, MIDA Multi-tool, Rat King, Legend of Acrius, Sleeper Simulant, Polaris Lance, Worldline Zero, Ace of Spades, The Last Word, Le Monarque, Jotunn, and Izanagi’s Burden are Exotic quests that will be locked away soon.
Finally, the Catalysts being locked away in the Destiny Content Vault upon the release of the Destiny 2 Beyond Light expansion include Worldline Zero, Whisper of the Worm, Bad Juju, The Huckleberry, Outbreak Perfected, Telesto, Sleeper Simulant, Skyburner’s Oath, Polaris Lance, Legend of Acrius, and Izanagi’s Burden.
