NBA 2K21 Brings the Basketball Court to the Beach

NBA 2K21 Has a Beach Neighborhood in MyCareer

2K Sports and Visual Concepts have released a new trailer for NBA 2K21 that focuses on the MyCareer story mode. The story follows a basketball player following his aspirations from High School to College to the big NBA, with lots of three-pointers and dunks along the way. This latest MyCareer has a new beach-themed neighborhood not previously featured in NBA 2K titles, and it brings even more life to the story. NBA 2K20 is available right now for Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, Google Stadia, and PC, and it’s currently available through Game Pass Ultimate.

NBA 2K21 isn’t only releasing on current-gen consoles this September, as 2K Sports and Visual Concepts intend to release PS5 and Xbox Series X versions of the game down the line as well. Fans of the basketball title on Nintendo Switch won’t have to worry about potentially losing the latest installment of NBA 2K, as 2K21 is also coming to Nintendo’s hybrid console. The game will also release with two versions, there’s the Standard Edition on current and next-gen and the Mamba Forever Edition for current and next-gen and progression will be shared across both generations of console.

The new beach neighborhood isn’t the only change coming in NBA 2K21 for basketball fans to get hyped about, as the MyTeam mode is getting a bit of a shakeup as well. While the gameplay of NBA 2K21 shares many similarities with the previous installment, gamers will be competing for “Championship Rings” in-game. The current-gen version of NBA 2K21 will have 52 songs, while the next-gen version offers a whopping 202 tracks at launch. Visual Concepts is also teasing WNBA additions to MyTeam mode but haven’t officially confirmed the change.
