Frostpunk On the Edge DLC Coming Soon
11 Bit Studios have confirmed that the last DLC is coming to Frostpunk this month and it’s known as On the Edge. On the Edge will be releasing on August 20th and it features a new story scenario, additional challenges, a new map, and “unique mechanics” to utilize Frostland view. Since it’s the last DLC, it will also be included with the Frostpunk season pass or purchased separately. The DLC is set after the Great Storm so fans are encouraged to experience that before getting into the final DLC. Frostpunk is available right now for Xbox One, PS4, and PC and it’s part of the extensive Game Pass lineup.
According to the synopsis for On the Edge, the final DLC for Frostpunk will pick up when the base game finishes. The storm at the end of the game has exposed an army warehouse from times before the evacuation. A scouting party is apparently sent from New London to set up an outpost and a steady chain of supplies. 11 Bit Studios says “It’s time to take another step on the laborious path of rebuilding hope and leading humankind to survival. But… the world of Frostpunk is still full of embroiled dualities: trust or skepticism, independence or domination, union, or separation. The question is, what path will you take?”
The final DLC for Frostpunk was announced back in June but it’s finally releasing for season pass owners at the end of August. Fans of Frostpunk who haven’t delved into the DLC also have The Last Autumn and The Rifts to look forward to.
